Seaton
(Cornwall)
A
tiny village with a large car park which adjoins the good size sandy beach.
There is also parking along the beach front and a large beach cafe.
The Smugglers Arms by the beach has a good restaurant and bar. Always
plenty of parking space at all times of year. As the birds eye photo
of the beach shows, there are a scattering of individual houses on the
road leading from the beachand this constitutes the scattered village.
A real countryside setting with lovely coastal walks. For somewhere
more substantial but yet still a small village, take the half a mile hill
walk (or drive) up to large Downderry village. Downderry offers
a few cafes /restaurants, a good beach and a few country style Inns.
A few miles further down the coast are Looe and Polperro. Looe and
Looe island are visible from Seaton beach.
