Polzeath
Polzeath is just across the estuary from Padstow and 2 miles from Rock. Daymer Bay is 1 mile. A tiny village with an excellent and large sandy beach flanked by steep cliffs. A stream runs into the beach. An excellent surfing beach and attractive coastal walks. Polzeath has a number of waterside shops, cafes and pubs. There is a large car park. Near the top of the hill leaving Polzeath is the very popular The Oyster Catcher pub. The Saltwater Bistro has a highly quality menu at a reasonable price. Right by the beach is a pub (log fire during the colder months) with extensive outdoor seating overlooking the beach and sea (enjoy the views while you take your meal or drink).
