‘Willow Cottage’ is a higher standard
end-terraced stone cottage in the village of Calstock on the Cornwall/Devon
border, 5 miles from Callington, East Cornwall.18 miles to beaches at Whitsand
Bay.Plymouth 10 miles. Calstock is a character village on the banks of
the river Tamar. A scenic area with National Trust & other interesting
places in the locality: Cotehele House, Weir Quay, Bodmin Moor & Dartmoor,Morwellham
Quay, walks in Greenscombe wood, canoeing,boat trips up the Tamar Estuary,etc.
An old world character cottage with some exposed beams, etc. in a quieter
side lane postition on the edge of the village. A few minutes stroll to
village cafe, pub, shops. Beautiful views over the river & valley.
River walks. Try the approx one mile long wooded walk along the river to
the National Trust Cotehele House.
Accommodation
comprises: Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 (large) has 2 single
beds & 1 single futon bed and a colour T.V. & video. Maximum
of 4 people only. Duvets. Lovely river views from all bedrooms.
Linen avail, at £20 per week, payable to owner. Kitchen with electric
cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine. Lounge with inglenook fireplace,
colour T.V. & video. Bathroom with bath, washbasin & toilet. Shower
room with shower unit. Multi-fuel (wood or coal) burner in lounge which
also heats the radiators in Bedr 1 & 2. Also electric convector
heaters in bedrooms. Electric by chargeable ‘key’. Parking on lane outside
house (no restrictions, always plenty of room). A tiny paved area with
plants, for sitting in, with spectacular views over the Tamar River.
2 dogs welcome.

200 years old terraced cottage in a pretty setting in tiny
Calstock village 5 miles from Callington,East Cornwall.18 miles to
beaches at Whitsand Bay & Portwrinkle. Calstock is a character village
on the banks of the river Tamar, the holiday cottage being down by the
river & quay with lovely views over the Tamar estuary. A truly picturesque
setting with some beautiful sunsets over the water. A hundred yards to
village Inn with restaurant & good food, and to the Riverside Cafe.
Lovely walks along the estuary, leading from the cottage.
Amble down to the riverbank &
try fishing in the river for trout . National Trust & other interesting
places in this highly scenic locality; Cotehele House, Weir Quay, Bodmin
Moor, Morwellham Quay. Free parking spaces opposite cottage, on the quay,
and lots of free parking available within 100 yards of cottage in
new free village car park behind the village hall.
