‘The Cob House’, a luxury detached stone
cottage set amidst lovely countryside 6 miles from Boscastle, North Cornwall.
Crackington Haven sandy beach is 5 miles. Widemouth Bay beaches 5 miles
and the beach resort of Bude 9 miles. Tintagel, with its small beach and
‘King Arthur’s Castle’ is 8 miles. This is an exceptionally beautiful and
rugged stretch of coastline and is popular with walkers who enjoy the miles
of National Trust coastal footpaths. ‘The Cob House’ was converted from
a barn during early 2009; great care being taken to provide high standard
accommodation whilst retaining original character features such as exposed
beams throughout. It is one of a few cottages set on a quieter country
lane. The cottage has front and rear good size enclosed grass gardens.
Patio doors open onto a rear patio with table and chairs.
The cottage owner’s family farm the surrounding
land (sheep & beef farm) and holidaymakers are welcome to stroll in
the farm’s fields and wooded areas. Leading from the cottage is a
pleasant circular farm walk leading down a lane to a ford over a tiny stream
(a profusion of wild flowers during spring and summer), then onwards to
the small farm lake (great for picnics, free coarse fishing, restocked
2004). Continue along the marked route through the fields and back to the
cottage. There is an enclosed children’s farm play area with swings,
climbing frame etc.
Accommodation comprises:
Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed & 2 single
beds. kitchen with electric oven & hob unit, microwave, fridge(freezer
box) & dishwasher. Outside laundry room with £1 coin operated
washing machine & spin dryer. Lounge/diner with T.V. & DVD.
Upstairs shower room with shower, washbasin & toilet. Downstairs bathroom
with bath, tap fitted shower, toilet and washbasin. Woodburner in
lounge area (first basket of logs free, other baskets supplied at
reasonable charge). Central heating is inclusive (under floor central heating
downstairs, central heating radiators upstairs). Parking in driveway for
2 cars; also other parking area. 1 dog welcome.

Parsley Cottage is an attractively
furnished end-terraced cottage in a country setting approx half a mile
from Kilkhampton village & 5 miles from the beaches at Bude,
North Cornwall. Kilkhampton village has 2 pubs (good
food and takeaway). For entertainment Penstowe Manor Holiday Park
in the village has excellent entertainment in its entertainment
suite during the summer months (can pay at the door). Bude
has miles of classic sandy beaches and cliff walks, a huge free open air
swimming pool and other attractions associated with a beach resort.
The cottage is situated amidst lovely countryside on East Thorne Farm,
having been converted from a barn, being one of a terrace of 4 cottages.
Parsley cottage is the fourth cottage in the terrace on the right hand
side of the above photo. Small lawn area with seating shared with
the other 4 cottages in the terrace.
Accommodation comprises:
Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds.
Roomy open plan living area. The lounge area has a T.V. (Freeview). The
