Pretty ‘Granary Cottage’ is a
detached stone cottage in tiny Lanivet village 2 miles from Bodmin,
Mid Cornwall. An excellent central position for exploring Cornwall
with the beaches on the south coast at Par near St Austell approx 12 miles
and with Newquay on the north coast 16 miles. Lanhydrock House &
gardens (Nat Trust) is 2 miles. Lanivet is a delightful and traditional
cornish village with a pub & restaurant (good food) , the pub being
a few minutes stroll from the cottage. The Abbey Hotel does cream teas
and there is also a fish and chip shop with a restaurant. Granary
Cottage is in an attractive setting on a side lane in the village
, with its own short driveway. The cottage was originally an old
granary and has character features such as thick stone walls and exposed
beams throughout. The village is on the ancient The Saints Way footpath
which runs from coast to caoast. Other footpath walks from the village.

put-you-up bed. Kitchen with
an electric cooker & hob unit, micro-wave, fridge, washing machine
& spin dryer. Roomy lounge/diner with colour T.V. Also
a colour T.V. (with DVD) in the bedroom. Downstairs bathroom
with bath, overhead shower & toilet. Easy to keep warm with night
storage heaters throughout including the bedroom and also an electric
heater in the lounge area. French windows open from the lounge area
onto the enclosed garden with lawn; at bottom of garden a patio area with
seating. Parking at end of driveway adjacent to the cottage for 2
cars (the garage is not available). Electric by Key meter (village shop).

‘Mowhay Barn’, a high standard detached
barn conversion in a delightful rural setting on a country side lane 6
miles from Boscastle, North Cornwall. Crackington Haven sandy beach is
5 miles. Widemouth Bay beaches 5 miles and the beach resort of Bude
7 miles. Tintagel, with its small beachand ‘King Arthur’s Castle’
is 8 miles. This is an exceptionally beautiful and rugged stretch of coastline
and is popular with walkers who enjoy the miles of Nat Trust coastal footpaths.
The cottage is on the edge of what was originally a farmyard,
on a family run sheep and beef farm. ‘Mowhay Barn’ was converted
from a barn during early 2008 with great care being taken to provide
high standard accommodation, whilst retaining original character
features such as exposed beams; the high beamed ceilings adding charm
and atmosphere to the cottage. The cottage is all ground floor with additional
windows set in the high ceilings. There is a good size lawn and an
attractive enclosed patio with garden furniture. Holidaymakers
are welcome to stroll in the farm’s fields and wooded areas and there is
a pleasant circular farm walk leading down the lane to the ford over
the tiny stream (a profusion of wild flowers during spring and summer),
then onwards to the small farm lake (great for picnics, free coarse
fishing-restocked 2004). Continue along the marked route through
the fields and back to the cottage. There is an enclosed children’s
farm play area with swings, climbing frame etc.

windows onto decked patio). Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. 1 fold up
