‘Honeysuckle Cottage’ is situated
amidst countryside in a quiet position, approx 6 miles from Boscsatle,
near the tiny village of Otterham, North Cornwall. 5 miles from the
beach at Crackington Haven. Widemouth Bay beaches are 5 miles with the
beach resort of Bude 7 miles. The north cornish coastline is famed for
its stunning rugged coastline and is popular with walkers who enjoy the
miles of Nat Trust coastal footpaths.
The cottage is ground floor only and
has been converted from a stone barn (during 2003) providing higher standard
and pleasing accommodation. The owner has taken great care to preserve
the original character of the building and has provided an enclosed rear
patio garden which affords privacy and own adjacent parking space for 2
cars. An attractive rural setting in what was originally the farmyard,
on a beef and sheep farm. There are adjacent fields to stroll in. Leading
from the cottage is a pleasant 10 minutes walk down the farm lane (a profusion
of spring and summer flowers-including honeysuckle, wild roses,fox gloves)
to a tiny brook; with a further walk over to the small farm lake (with
coarse fish-restocked 2004) and then continuing along the brook, through
a meadow and back to the cottage. Smart new (2005) enclosed children’s
play area with swings, climbing frame etc.

comprises: Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. A put-u-up
single bed available for either bedroom 1 or living area. Open plan
living area. Kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave & fridge.
Coin operated outside laundry room with washing machine & dryer. Lounge/dining
area has a T.V. and DVD. Bathroom with bath, overhead shower and toilet.
Central heating. Patio doors lead onto a rear patio garden (an all
day sun trap, shielded from the breeze) with garden furniture,
ideal for barbecues. 1 dog welcome.

Boscastle 21 above. ‘Ash Tree Cottage’ is situated 6 miles
from Boscastle,near the tiny village of Otterham, North Cornwall. 5 miles

A quaint 16th century terraced
cottage in Boscastle fishing village 3 miles from Tintagel, North Cornwall.
Bossiney Haven sandy beach is 2 & a half miles and Trebarwith Strand
excellent beach is approx 6 miles. Sea views from bedroom 2. The cottage
was one of the original Inns of Boscastle, hence the cottage’s name
‘The Old Brigg Inn’. Lots of original character features such as old ships
beams, window seats & slate floors. It is situated in the old
part of the village amidst a row of picturesque cottages on a side lane,
just a few minutes stroll from the Napoleon Inn (good food). A short stroll
to other pubs in the village and under half a mile walk down to the well
known harbour, waterside shops & tea houses. Beautiful coastal walks.
The cottage has a small slate walled front garden with garden gate, small
grass area and patio area with table and chairs.
Boscastle is one of Cornwall’s best
loved and extremely picturesque fishing villages, its tiny pier dating
from the 16th cent, the harbour entrance a cleft in the slate cliffs. Heather
covered cliff sides snake inland from the harbour to the pretty cottages,
arcade of shops and little cafes.
