‘Tregarthen Barn’ is a higher standard & impressive detached cottage situated in the picturesque hamlet  of Talskiddy  under 2 miles from St Columb Major village, 4 & a half  miles from the beautiful beach at Mawgan Porth, just over  5 miles to Watergate Bay, 7 miles to Porth beach and Newquay, North Cornwall.  Padstow 8 miles. Eden Project approx 11 miles. A quiet rural setting amidst a small cluster of older houses. Just a stroll over to the village ‘Duck Pond’ and a further pleasant  walk down to a little ford over the tiny stream on the edge of the village.  St Columb Major has pubs, shops, restaurants and cafes.  ‘Tregarthen Barn’  was converted from a barn during 2007   retaining some original & character features. Ground floor accommodation only. There is a good size surrounding garden with grass/lawn areas. Patio doors onto  a very private rear patio with garden furniture for sitting in & a barbecue;  with good views over the surrounding
countryside.  The cottage is accessed by a short driveway and there is adjacent off the road parking for 2 cars.
Accommodation comprises:  Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 full length single beds (2 ft 6 ins width as opposed to usual 3 ft width) . Spacious  open plan living area. The kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge & washing machine.  Lounge area with colour T.V. & DVD.  Bathroom with bath, overhead shower & toilet. 1 small dog welcome.

Approx 600 yards from lovely LustyGlaze sandy beach at Newquay, Cornwall. ‘Sea Winds’ is a higher standard 1930’s detached bungalow on a quieter side road on the outskirts of Newquay, Cornwall.  Approx half a mile into Newquay town shops and Tolcarne beach.  Under 5 minutes srtoll to LustyGlaze beach, the beach being a bit of a secret, in a sheltered cove. On the beach is a beach cafe, restaurant and bar with outside seating. Fosters pub and restaurant is only a few minutes stroll from the bungalow. The bungalow has a small front garden and a decent size and attractive enclosed rear garden (the rear garden is no longer laid to lawn as in the photo; one part  now being laid with decking and the 2nd half with evergreen plants and flowers- very pretty in the summer, with garden seating to enjoy the setting.   Newquay is of course Cornwall’s premier beach resort with miles of beaches, interesting and varied town shops and eating places, whilst providing entertainmenrt for all the family (Waterworld, Newquay Zoo, Polkyth Leisure centre, golf, surfing and much more).
Accommodation comprises:  Bedroom 1 has 1 single bed.  Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds.  Bedroom 3  has 1 double bed and 1 single bed and a T.V. Duvets.  Bedroom 3 is the only upstairs room and is an attractive pine finished dormer bedroom. Kitchen/ diner with gas hob, electric oven, microwave (grill & oven) , fridge/freezer, washing machine and colour T.V. Lounge with colour T.V.  & video. Patio doors from kitchen/diner onto rear garden.  Shower room with shower and toilet.  Heating by coal affect gas fire in lounge and central heating.  Parking for 2 cars in driveway and on road outside (no restrictions, always plenty of room). No pets.

Just a 5 minutes stroll to lovely LustyGlaze beach and a 10 minutes stroll into Newquay town shops and beaches.  A  higher standard 1920’s semi detached house on the outskirts of Newquay, Cornwall.  Newquay is of course Cornwall’s premier beach resort with miles of beaches, interesting and varied town shops and eating places, whilst providing entertainment for all the family (Waterworld, Newquay Zoo, Trenance Leisure Centre, golf, surfing and much more). There is a footpath from the rear garden leading towards  LustyGlaze beach and it is but a few minutes stroll to shops, pubs and eating places.  The house has a small front garden area and there is a decent size enclosed rear garden with lawn (garden table and chairs). Ample parking in the driveway for 3 cars.
Accommodation comprises:  Bedroom 1 (sea views) has 1 double bed.  Bedroom 2  has 2 single beds (opening up onto original 1920’s balcony).  Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds.  Bedroom 4 (in annexe) has 1 double bed and overhead single bed. Duvets. Roomy  kitchen/diner  with gas range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine and seating for 8 at dining table .  Lounge  with seating for 6 and colour T.V. (DVD, Video and Freeview).  Shower room with shower unit and washbasin. Separate toilet.
Six feet from the house’s rear door and which also opens onto the rear garden  is the annexe,  which provides self contained accommodation.  The annexe has a separate kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and fridge and a separate shower room with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The annexe also has an open plan living area with a double bed and overhead bed( as described above), dining table , soft seating and colour T.V. The advantage of the annexe is that it supplies a fourth bedroom that comes complete with its own self catering facilities.  No pets.
Prices per week: July 19 to Aug 30  £990.
