‘The Bungalow’ is a lovely and higher
standard 1990’s modern detached bungalow situated in the picturesque
hamlet of Talskiddy, under 2 miles from St Columb Major village,
3 miles from the beautiful beach at Mawgan Porth and 8 miles
from Newquay, North Cornwall. A quiet rural setting, adjacent
to a few old character cottages on what was originally Talskiddy
Farm. Just a stroll over to the village ‘Duck Pond’ and a further
pleasant walk down to a little
ford over the tiny stream on the edge
of the village. St Columb Major has pubs, shops, restaurants and
cafes. There is a beautiful enclosed front garden (garden furniture) with
lawn, trees, shrubs and flowers-really pretty in the summer. Also
a 1 acre enclosed rear garden. In addition there is an enclosed
front patio with table and chairs.
Accommodation comprises:
Bedroom 1 has 1 King size double bed (en-suite shower room, also
with toilet and washbasin). Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed (en-suite bathroom
with bath, toilet and washbasin). Double futon bed available for lounge
area. Separate toilet and washbasin. Large lounge/diner with
colour T.V. & DVD. Kitchen/ breakfast room with electric oven,
gas hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. A freezer and tumble
dryer in utility room. Parking in driveway for 2 cars and other parking.

Highly recommended.
‘Instable House’ is a great place to stay for both small and large
groups. A detached house, set somewhat away from neighbours,
at the bottom of a surfaced farm lane, 2 miles from the village of Bradworthy
and 10 miles from the beach resort of Bude, North Cornwall. 7
miles to lovely Sandymouth beach. Clovelly stepped fishing village
8 miles. A roomy house set in half an acre of enclosed gardens, surrounding
lawns (patio, barbecue, garden furniture and badminton court), a
quiet setting amidst lovely countryside. Bradworthy village has a
few shops and the Bradworthy Inn (beer garden & restaurant).
The 2 Tamar Lakes are 2 miles away. Upper Lake (82 acres) has a watersports
centre with hire during the summer for canoeing, sailing, windsurfing.
Also tea rooms and play facilities for children. Coarse fishing on
the lake (a main competition lake) with carp up to 28 lbs; 50lbs bags of
bream and 20 lbs bags of rudd can be expected. The Lower Lake is
a nature sanctuary with birdwatching, walks.

‘Furze Croft’ is
a higher standard semi-detached stone cottage in lovely countryside
in the pretty hamlet of Gwennap; 8 miles to Truro and Falmouth and
5 miles from Penryn, South Cornwall. A good central position for
exploring both coasts. 5 miles from the beach at Flushing above
Falmouth and 8 miles to the beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan
on the opposite coast. A good area for walking, National Trust
gardens and water sports.
Furze Croft
has been converted from a 16th century coach house , retaining charm &
character. A very peaceful setting, being one of
two cottages at the end of a short private lane, surrounded
by fields and woodland. Good size enclosed garden. Also an
attractive patio garden with table and chairs & barbecue.
The Fox & Hounds pub is half a mile away and does food.
