A quaint old stone cottage with character
features such as slate floors,some exposed beams and a woodburner.The cottage
is furnished in a simple but comfortable cottage style in character with
the building. Small,cosy rooms.

‘Sea Spray’ is a luxury apartment (3rd
floor out of 4 floors) situated in Fort Picklecombe, 2 miles from Torpoint,
East Cornwall.The apartment is only yards from the waterfront, with fantastic
views over Plymouth Sound and Cawsand Bay. Plymouth is visible in the distance
and there is an interesting array of ships and sailing boats visible over
the Sound. Fort Picklecombe was originally a 19th cent Fort and in recent
years has been converted into prestige residential apartments.The Fort
is in a quiet rural setting on an interesting and rugged stretch of coastline,
ideal for walkers.There is a small sandy beach (not during winter)
a few minutes stroll away and Cawsand sandy beach and pretty village(wih
a good pub, cafes and shops) is under 2 miles by road and coastal
footpath. Kingsand is next to Cawsand. A ferry (summer only) takes one
from Cawsand across the bay to Plymouth, landing on famous Plymouth Hoe.
Adjacent to Plymouth Hoe is the attractive Barbican area of quaint shops,
restaurants, sailing boats, National Acquarium, Elizabethan House and other
attractions. Boat trips up the estuary . Behind the Hoe and Barbican
are Plymouth city centre shops. Fort Picklecombe is next to National Trust
Mount Edgcumbe Estate (free access to the public, lovely coastal and other
walks) and allows paid access to the country house and gardens.
At the rear of the apartments are the
Fort’s terraced landscaped gardens & tennis court . The Fort has its
own private harbour with launching facilities for dinghies-available to
guests at approx £50 per week.There is a dedicated parking space
for one car & any accompanying dinghy in the car park beneath the Fort,with
convenient adjoining lift to the holiday apartment (also stair access).

style house, on a side road, in the waterfront city of Plymouth,
South Devon. The owner has taken great care to provide very comfortable
accommodation, with recently fitted new kitchen, new bathroom etc.5 &
a half miles to the beach at Bovisand. Just over half a mile stroll to
the modern pedestrianised city centre of Plymouth with its shops, floral
displays & water features. Plymouth is a delightful tourist city on
the Devon/Corwall border, catering for all age groups. Famous Plymouth
Hoe promenade area (where Drake played bowls during the Spanish Armada),
Plymouth Dome,Plymouth National Acquarium, Smeatons Tower,boat trips up
the Tamar Valley. The old Barbican area has: boats, restaurants,
individual and unique shops, the Elizabethan House. The new Warners Village
with cinema etc. Adjoining the city centre are the Theatre Royal with musicals
and stage plays, cinemas. Pavilions (shows, ice skating, swimming pool).
In the vicinity of Plymouth are N.T. Saltram House, Buckland Abbey, Dartmoor
Wildlife Park, the wilds of Dartmoor, Plymouth ski Centre (artificial ski
slope for ski-ing, toboggan rides) and much more. Altogether Plymouth is
a good holiday base.
