LOOE  14                 SLEEPS   2                           LINEN &  ELECTRIC INCLUSIVE
‘Horton Cottage’ is a traditional mid-terraced fisherman’s cottage  in the  fishing village of Looe, East Cornwall. Just a  10 minutes stroll over the bridge to East  Looe’s lovely sandy  beach. Looe is a great favourite, being a working fishing village with shops, quaint pubs and restaurants and cafes and one can watch the small fishing boats unloading their catch on the quay. The shops conveniently adjoin the beach, adding to the atmosphere and attraction of Looe as a resort.  Looe is divided into East Looe and West Looe by a river, with Looe Bridge connecting the two. Pretty Horton Cottage  is  in West Looe.  There  are boat fishing trips for mackerel and deep sea fishing,  with pleasure boat trips to Fowey & some other destinations. Walkers will enjoy the walk along the coastal footpath from West Looe to Talland Bay (about 7 miles)  returning by bus or taxi.  A cosy character cottage, recently modernised (during 2008),  providing very comfortable  accommodation with cottage style furnishings,  retaining character features. A quiter position in a side lane  just a few hundred yards from the quayside, eating places, shops and a few pubs (such as the Jolly Roger). Sit on the quayside and enjoy the views over Looe river, Banjo Pier and out to sea. Great fun to take the little boat from West Looe
across the river to East Looe beach (40p per person 2008)  which saves having to walk.
West Looe is often preferred over East Looe, being the less hectic side of the river.  The townsfolk have a great sense of  community and in putting this to practice Looe has been voted the 5th best destination in the country in which to  spend New Year!
Accommodation comprises: Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Lounge/diner with colour T.V. & DVD.
