‘Beach View Cottage’, a renovated semi-detached  pretty cottage by the beach at Widemouth Bay 3 miles south of Bude, North Cornwall. An idyllic country setting by a  large, quiet and secluded sandy beach at the southern end of Widemouth Bay.  One of just 2 cottages, with an excellent view over the beach and sea from the bedroom and living area. The cottage is all ground floor with the other property being adjoining and above. A 3 minutes stroll along the lane to the beach or why not try the delightful 4 minutes stroll via the  public footpath which is 200 yards from the cottage. Superb coastal & cliff walks. A 4 minutes stroll to  excellent Brockmoor Hotel pub and restaurant and a short walk  up the hill to the large Widemouth Manor which again has a restaurant and bar, also outdoor seating and childrens play area. 4 excellent restaurants at Widemouth Bay, the Beach Hotel known for its lobster menu.  In fact Widemouth Bay has 4 excellent restaurants, a reflection of its increasing popularity as a quality destination. On the neighbouring beaches there are  2 quality cafes with plenty of car park  space . Although there is a shop within walking distance for those looking for extensive town or shop amenities Bude beach resort is nearby.
Accommodation comprises: Bedroom 1 has 1 King size double bed and a futon single bed (can also go in living area) and an en-suite shower room with shower unit, washbasin & toilet. Roomy living area with kitchen area at one end. Kitchen area has a gas hob, no oven, microwave and fridge. Lounge/dining area with T.V. with built in DVD. Heating by a night storage heater in living area and in bedroom. There is a pleasant front tiny patio area with table and chairs (a sun trap). Parking in driveway for 1 car. £1 electric meter. 1 dog welcome (dogs are allowed on the holiday cottage beach and other Widemouth Bay beaches) but please keep on lead whilst in the holiday cottage grounds .

A terraced 1900 style house in the waterfront city of Plymouth, South Devon. 5 & a half miles to the beach at Bovisand. Just over half a mile stroll to the modern pedestrianised city centre with its shops, floral displays & water features. Plymouth is a delightful tourist city on the Devon/Cornwall border, catering for all age groups. Famous Plymouth Hoe promenade area (where Drake played bowls during the Spanish Armada), Plymouth Dome, Plymouth National Aquarium, Smeatons Tower, boat trips up the Tamar Valley. The old Barbican area has: boats, restaurants, individual & unique shops, the Elizabethan House. Adjoining the city centre are the Theatre Royal with musicals and stage plays, cinemas & Pavilions(shows, ice skating, swimming pool). In the vicinity of Plymouth are N.T. Saltram House, Buckland Abbey Dartmoor Wildlife Park, the wilds of Dartmoor, Plymouth Ski Centre (artificial ski slope for ski-ing, toboggan rides) & much more. Honeysuckle Cottage is a  nicely furnished 16th century character stone farmhouse situated in Morwenstowe hamlet near Kilkhampton,approx 5 miles to the beaches at Bude, North Cornwall.Duck Pool seaside beauty spot and small beach just over 2 miles.The farm is in a country setting with its own farm lane and the holiday farmhouse is the oldest in the parish having been built by monks. An adjacent farm courtyard, not  a farmyard, the farm buildings being a stroll away.There are two adjoining cottages at the rear of the farmhouse, thus forming a terrace. Beautiful views from kitchen window with Kilkhampton church in the distance. Footpath through 13 acres of the farms private woods. Can stroll or play in the woods. Farm holiday if required on the 187 acre dairy, beef & corn farm. Approx a  5 minutes stroll to the farm’s 2 ponds, one of which date back to medieval times and earlier. One pond (approx 66 yards long) is stocked with coarse fish (tench, golden rudd & carp), but may provide poor fishing. The second pond, which was originally used as a carp pond by local monks back in the 12 th cent and is one of the oldest in the country ( featured on a T.V. programme) has been set aside as a nature sanctuary, often hosting migratory birds such as ducks. What makes the ponds so attractive is that they are in a wooded setting, making a lovely venue for picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy the scenery. See coarse fishing ponds photo Bude 66 page 33.
