Austell, Cornwall. Beaches at Pentewan Sands and Charlestown are
approx 8 miles. The Eden Project is approx 6 miles. Just over half a mile
walk to the Grenville Arms pub (food) in Nanpean. This is a lovely cottage
on a country side lane with a good size enclosed rear garden. Dating
from 1795 the cottage , originally a farmhouse, retains character
features such as the feature fireplace with clome oven.

‘The Dairy ’ is a luxury semi-detached
stone barn conversion on the edge of fabulous & well known
Coombe Valley (a favourite with ramblers) , 2 miles from Kilkhampton
village and 5 miles from Bude, North Cornwall. A 2 miles walk
via footpaths down through National Trust Coombe Valley to Duckpool beauty
spot and beach, leading on to miles of coastal and beach walks - great
for walkers. Nearby Bude is a beach resort with large classic sandy
beaches, a huge free open air beach swimming pool and other attractions
associated with a resort town. ‘The Dairy’ is in an attractive
rural setting on a working farm. There is a a good size rear patio area
with table and seating, also suitable for children to play in. Farm play
field with goal posts & swings. Approx 5 minutes
stroll over to the farm’s 2 ponds. One pond (approx 66 yards
long) is stocked with coarse fish (tench,golden rudd & carp). Tench
up to 3 lbs and carp up to 8 lbs. The second pond dates back to mediaeval
times and was originally used as a carp pond by monks in the 12th cenrtury
and is one of the oldest carp ponds in the country (featured on a
T.V. programme). The pond has now been set aside as a nature sanctuary
and migratory birds including ducks commonly make
an appearance. The ponds are in a pretty,
wooded setting, making a great venue for picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy
the scenery. The more energetic may enjoy the walk across the adjacent
field (with panoramic views over the countryside) along the footpath
through the farm’s 13 acres of woodland.

in all rooms including bedooms and also a feature woodburner electric
fire in lounge area. Adjacent off the road parking space for
3 cars. No pets.
