An 18th century terraced cottage
in the ancient village of St Ewe, 6 miles to St Austell and
under 3 miles to Mevagissey, mid cornwall. Beaches at Pentewan Sands are
3 miles. 'Post Box Cottage' is an attractive character cottage which has
been tastefully modernised, retaining features such as exposed beams
and original feature fireplace with bread oven. The small red post
box set in the cottage's wall gives the cottage its name. There is
a good size enclosed rear garden with a lower and upper lawn and seating.
St Ewe is a traditional, tiny, rural and unspoilt Cornish village.
The village's old church dates from Norman times and the village
pub, the Crown Inn (a welcoming pub with an open fire,
parrot, bar with modestly priced bar food, good size restaurant) is just
a few minutes stroll from the cottage. There are footpaths &
pleasant walks leading from the village. The Lost Gardens of Heligan approx
1 mile and the Eden Project 11 miles.
Accommodation comprises:
Bedroom1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. To get to
bedroom 1 you have to walk through bedroom 2. The lounge/diner has
a T.V., DVD and boasts a feature stone fireplace. Kitchen with
hob unit, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and
washing machine. The downstars bathroom has a shower unit (power
shower), washbasin and toilet. A great favourite with those staying at
the cottage and great fun, is the bath in the double bedroom,
concealed behind louvre doors in what at first glance appears to be part
of the fitted cupboards. 1 night storage heater & an electric fire
in the lounge/diner; wall mounted electric convector heaters in the bedrooms.
Can park in the free village car parking area about 100 yards away (plenty
of room) or on road immediately in front of the cottage. 2 dogs welcome.

Picturesque ‘Coach House Cottage’
is a semi-detached cottage in an idyllic location in the heart of the cornish
countryside near the Cornwall/Devon border 3 miles from Launceston,
North Cornwall. 1o miles from Tavistock and 20 miles to Plymouth.
Launceston & Tavistock are both thriving towns with shops, cafes and
restaurants (Launceston Castle is worth a visit). A central base for touring
and both coastlines. The cottage was converted from a coach house,
is ground floor only and in an attractive setting opposite
the owner’s farmhouse on a smallholding. Views over the Tamar Valley. Access
is by a short surfaced farm lane.
‘Coach House Cottage’ retains much
of its original character. There is a front patio (with garden furniture)
and a private enclosed lawn at the rear reached by walking around
the side of the cottage. Use of large paddock to play in, kick football.

Semi-detached Rose Cottage is situated
under 3 miles from Penzance, West Cornwall & only 2 miles from
the beautiful sandy beaches stretching from Penzance to Marazion. St Ives
is approx 6 miles. This attractive stone cottage has been tastefully
converted from a barn in recent years and is one of a small number of similar
barn conversions grouped together in a peaceful courtyard setting somewhat
separate from and at the rear of 400 years old Kenegie Manor site, a landscaped
holiday village based on the old Manor House. A stay at this cottage
provides a peaceful setting and traditional cottage style accommodation
but with the option of using Kenegie Manor Holiday Park facilities
such as the indoor heated swimming pool & sauna (both free). Enjoy
strolling or relaxing in the lovely Kenegie Manor landscaped grounds. The
swimming pool & sauna are available from 10 March to 26 October
and the Bar & bar food March 31 to April 14 and June 2 to October 26.
Holidaymakers staying at the cottage have inclusive Club Membership. The
facilities include the Licensed Club and Bar (food menu & dining area)
with amusements (pool table etc), Swimming Pool, Sauna, Launderette, tennis,
small play park for children and a small putting green.
This part of Cornwall has many of the
best holiday attractions and theme parks in the county, together with many
of the best beaches. St Michaels Mount castle (reached by boat, or
beach causeway at low tide) is visible from Kenegie Manor entrance.
