Always a favourite destination for its huge surfing beach, lovely cliff walks and Perranporth is a perfect beach resort for families, surfers, walkers and those seeking lots to see and do on self-catering holiday cottages. Perranporth rests on the North Cornwall Coast enjoying a large and excellent surfing sandy beach. A good asset is the easy access to lots of attractions, all within walking distance of your property. Perranporth Golf Club with an 18-hole golf course. Nearby Newquay has its excellent beach Acquarium and of course Newquay Zoo. St Ives lies to the south. Perranporth is a small village but has plenty of shops and eating places, a quieter beach resort and an alternative to the more lively Newquay which is a mere 7 miles further north. Perranporth has large classic sandy beaches stretching for over 3 miles, great for surfing. Perran beach is backed by extensive sand dunes which extend nearly a mile inland. Perranporth has various shops and cafes including a Wetherspoons bar, as well as 6 pubs. Popular nearby destinations include Penzance approx 20 miles away and st Ives about 20 miles. Lovely walks along the Southwest Coastal Footpath such as the coastal walk from Perranporth to St Agnes. Perranporth enjoys waterside restaurants and traditional pubs which serve wholesome, local produce. Visit The Watering Hole which is actually on the beach, (the only restaurant in Uk to be on a beach) which holds varied events throughout the year which include live music, comedy acts etc and beach activities. It is hardly surprising that Perranporth is so popular for a self-catering holiday cottage stay.
