Cottages Portreath and area
Portreath is about 10 miles north of St Ives in the west of cornwall and is a small and pretty village with a tiny narrow harbour and an excellent large beach backed by high cliffs riddled with caves. A small pool carved in the rocks is named Lady Bassetts Bath. There are cafes along the waterfront and a large car park. A picturesque bay with the little harbour once being busy shipping out cornish tin. Many of the old port buildings have been converted to cottages.
