Fuchsia Cottage Description

Fuchsia Cottage is a detached and secluded spacious country bungalow just outside the quiet fishing village of Porthallow, 4 miles above Coverack in the Lizard peninsular (just below the Helford Estuary) & approx 1 mile from St Keverne, West Cornwall. Helston is 12 miles. The bungalow is set amidst beautiful countryside and has country style furnishings. There are 6 steps up to the front door. 1/2 mile footpath leads from the bungalow to the old fishing village of Porthallow (1 mile by road) with its pebble beach and The Five Pilchards pub (does food). Also a footpath to St Keverne village. Coverack is 3 miles, has a few shops, pub and a sandy beach. Gillan 1 3/4 miles also has a sandy beach. A lovely area for walking, touring, boating and fishing. Large enclosed surrounding and sheltered lawn with a view of the sea from one end and sea views from adjoining field footpath. The bungalow is reached by a short unmetalled lane, the lane to the cottage being suitable for cars such as the Fiesta but not suitable for vehicles which are low to the ground e.g. low sports cars.

Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. Large inviting lounge with exposed beams, beamed inglenook feature fireplace & T.V., DVD & video. The cottage features many items of antique furniture. Kitchen/Diner with electric cooker, microwave, rayburn (solid fuel -wood from village). Washing machine/dryer, fridge/freezer. Bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

Cottage Facilities

Linen inclusive. Heating by an open fire in the lounge (fuel from village), an electric fire in lounge & central heating (inclusive & set on a Timer Switch)- a double glazed bungalow so easier to keep warm. Electric by reading meter at end of holiday.

Adjacent off the road parking for 3 cars. 2 well behaved dogs welcome.
