Newgate Cottage Description

Newgate Cottage, a luxury detached victorian stone cottage in tiny Lanjeth village 2 miles from St Austell, South Cornwall. Good beach at Pentewan 5 miles and Carlyon Bay beach 9 miles. Mevagissey 5 miles. Eden Project 4 miles. A rural setting on a side lane, with views over surrounding countryside. This is a lovely old cottage which has been carefully modernised in recent years, retaining features such as the feature fireplaces. There is a large enclosed front garden. Access to the cottage is by a short quiet side lane where there is an adjacent parking bay for 3 cars. Heating is by woodburners in the lounge and dining room (starter fuel supplied and extra available in Lanjeth village). Also night storage heaters in the lounge, dining room and bedrooms 1 & 2. Bedrooms 3 & 4 are heated by wall mounted electric fires that can be programmed via timer switches. A half mile walk to the excellent White Pyramid pub in Trewoon village which does good food and the pub has additional outside seating and an outside childrens play area with climbing frames etc. St Stephen village 2 miles away has 2 pubs and a village shop. St Austell town has numerous shops and a varied choice of eating places. St Austell Golf Club 2 and a half miles (18 holes, discounted green fees through cottage owner).

Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 4 has full size bunk beds. Kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Downstairs bathroom with bath, overhead shower & toilet. Also a high standard outside toilet in the garden. Lounge with feature firplace, T.V., ,DVD & superfast broadband Infinity Internet. Dining room with feature fireplace.
