Phoenix Description

A really fantastic holiday cottage with sea views. ‘Phoenix’ is a lovely detached house only 3 minutes level stroll to the large classic sandy beaches at the tiny coastal village of Widemouth Bay 2 miles south of Bude, North Cornwall. A quieter country setting on side lane in a cul-de-sac amidst a few other cottages. The house has a good size front lawn and a large rear lawn. Lovely coastal walks. A short stroll to the Post Office/General stores & the superb country pub (Widemouth Bay Manor) which does food and allows children; the pub having a separate children’s room. Also a few minutes stroll to the beach cafe & restaurant. Both Widemouth Bay and nearby Bude are excellent for surfing. Bude has many attractions including large beaches, a huge free open air beach swimming pool, golf, a leisure centre with indoor pool & Ten Pin bowling, rowing up Bude Canal, shops, waterside Inns and restaurants and other attractions one may expect of a popular beach resort.

Accommodation

Bedroom 1 (downstairs) has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 (downstairs) has full size bunk beds. Bedroom 3 (downstairs) has 2 single beds. Bedroom 4 (downstairs) has 1 double bed. Bedroom 5 (upstairs) has 1 double bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath, shower unit, washbasin & toilet. Downstairs shower room with washbasin & toilet being adjacent to bedroom 4. A second downstairs shower room. A separate downstairs wet room with shower unit & separate toilet, with access from both inside and outside the house. Also a downstairs bathroom with bath & toilet. Downstairs games room with table tennis table etc. Large upstairs lounge (sun trap) with digital TV, DVD. and superb panoramic sea views. The upstairs lounge patio doors open onto the west facing railed roof garden (garden furniture, table and chairs) which also enjoys the sea views. Large kitchen/diner with electric hob unit, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine; also having a soft seating area with T.V., ideal as a children's area.

Heating by coal fire in lounge (fuel from local shop) & central heating on a timer switch.

Non-Smoking. Parking for 4 cars in driveway. No pets.
