There are some pleasant
country walks. Take the short stroll down to the bridge over the
Tamar river, continuing on from this point, or jump over the hedge and
enjoy riverside walks(and fishing) in the owner's fields. Take
a stroll from the bridge,up the lane, turning right into the owner's Well
Farm. Proceed along the farm lane, noticing the big barn conversion house
on your left (an interesting point is that the famous methodist preacher
John Wesley used to address crowds from the top window of this very building)
through the next gate, down the field, with walks along the remains of
a stretch of the old Bude Canal. Other walks from the old village church
and other village footpaths. For holidaymakers
on Well Farm the remains of the old stretch of the Bude Canal is at the
bottom of the field at the rear of their holiday cottage.
